Stelmine Canada Ltd. commences trading on the TSX Venture Exchange
LAVAL, QC, january 28th 2008 /CNW/

Stelmine Canada Ltd. ("Stelmine") (TSX:STH) is pleased to announce that its securities are now listed and posted for trading on the TSX Venture Exchange under the trading symbol "STH".

Stelmine was created as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Stellar Pacific Ventures Inc. ("Stellar") which transferred all of its interests in three properties located in the Province of Quebec, being the Opinaca, Aiguebelle and Cléricy properties.

Furthermore, 2,400,000 common shares of Stelmine held by Stellar will be distributed as a dividend in kind to shareholders of Stellar on record at the close of business on January 30, 2008 on the basis of approximately 1 Stelmine share for 25 Stellar shares held. It is expected that the Stelmine share certificates will be delivered to shareholders of Stellar on February 4, 2008. The shareholders of Stellar should contact with their brokers with respect to their shares of Stelmine.
